JD Stephens burst onto the scene in July 24 defeating M.Poke in a David versus Goliath match up. Stephens looked to be seconds from defeat being taken apart from the first bell before somehow against all odds finding a way back knocking poke out cold putting his name in light's and becoming a instant local cult hero and fan favourite. Since he has continued to defeat all and any opposition he's faced and his record is one that puts fear into any potential opponent. Starting his career with Lacey's Boxing Gym Stephens was quickly approached and signed with T13 Boxing. Known for his powerful right hook and aggressive style Stephens is highly regarded throughout the Australian boxing community and by his team at T13 Boxing. Stephens was originally signed to Laceys Boxing but switched to Team 13 a move that has created one of the fiercest rivalries in WA Boxing history.Since this switch Stephens has lined up against Lacey's four times with each bout seeing him knock out his opponents within the first two rounds his current career record reads 39 Fights 39 Wins 39 via KO 0 loses
